Founding Director

Dr. Vikas Mahatme

Dr. Vikas Mahatme is a Padma Shri awardee and a renowned ophthalmic surgeon. His tireless efforts toward the betterment of society have been recognized at various national and international levels. Dedicated to making quality eye care accessible, he has played a transformative role in public health. In recognition of his social contributions, he was nominated to the Rajya Sabha as a Member of Parliament.

Dr. Sunita V. Mahatme

Dr. Sunita V. Mahatme made the selfless decision to step away from her professional career to dedicate herself fully to trust-related activities. With deep compassion and commitment, she plays a vital role in the organization’s outreach, operations, and welfare initiatives. Her leadership, quiet strength, and tireless efforts continue to uplift lives and strengthen the trust’s mission. She remains a guiding force behind various social and community welfare programs..

Vice President

Mr. Krishnarao L. Zalke

Mr. Krishnarao L. Zalke, after his retirement, has devoted himself wholeheartedly to the activities of the trust. With a wealth of experience and a strong sense of social responsibility, he plays a key role in its smooth functioning. His dedication and involvement continue to support the trust’s vision and community initiatives.

Secretary

Mr. Madhukar S. Kalmegh

Mr. Madhukar S. Kalmegh, serving as Secretary, has been actively involved in the trust’s operations. After retirement, he chose to dedicate most of his time to trust-related activities, contributing his experience and leadership. His commitment continues to strengthen the trust’s outreach and administrative efforts.

Treasurer

Mr. Anil R. Wairagade

Mr. Anil R. Wairagade, the Treasurer of the trust, brings financial acumen and dedication to the organization’s mission. Following his retirement, he has committed the majority of his time to trust-related activities. His active involvement ensures transparency, accountability, and effective financial management in all initiatives.

Director

Mr. Praveen Waghmare

Mr. Praveen Waghmare joined us as Director and Trustee in September 2024, bringing with him an impressive career spanning 38 years. Before joining us, he retired as Vice President (Corporate HR) and has garnered extensive experience working across multiple locations in India with six leading multinational companies including M.P. Birla, JSW Steel, Raymond, RPG Group, INDAL, and KSK Energy.
