His work includes organizing outreach camps and managing charitable projects with HelpAge India, Sightsavers, and Empathy Foundation. The camp department, under the SMM Eye Welfare Charitable Trust, plays a key role in facilitating free surgeries. His leadership ensures the success and impact of these social initiatives.
Ms. Priya Raut
(OPD Incharge)
A qualified M.S.W. and M.S.P.W., she confidently manages the crucial role of OPD Manager. She leads her skilled team to ensure smooth and efficient OPD operations. Her responsibilities include patient flow optimization, staff management, and data analysis. She is dedicated to delivering excellent patient care and enhancing satisfaction levels. Her leadership ensures a well-coordinated and patient-focused OPD environment.
Shrikant Jambhulkar
( OT Incharge )
A Diploma holder in Hospital Management and a certified OTA from RTMNU, he has been managing the OT department at MEBEH for nearly 30 years. He takes a keen interest in training OT staff in both theory and practical work. His leadership ensures smooth functioning of this vital department. With his guidance, handling around 60 surgeries per day has become routine. His experience and dedication are key to the department’s efficiency.
Ms. Yogita Banait
(IPD Incharge)
The IPD Incharge at MEBEH is a hardworking and dedicated professional with a DMLT qualification and pathology training from Arvind Eye Hospital. She manages the complete pre-operative and post-operative care of patients. Her role includes overseeing everything from admission to discharge. With strong clinical and organizational skills, she ensures smooth functioning of the IPD. Her commitment enhances the quality and efficiency of inpatient care.
Mr. Santosh Sapate
(Wet Lab Incharge)
Serving as the Wet Lab Incharge, he plays a vital role in managing and organizing surgical training sessions for ophthalmology trainees. With expertise in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and equipment readiness, he ensures a safe and efficient learning environment. His dedication greatly contributes to skill enhancement and hands-on learning experiences for aspiring eye surgeons. He is a key support in the hospital’s academic training programs.
Mr. Dnyaneshwar Kanire
(Eye Bank Incharge)
The Eye Bank Incharge at MEBEH plays a dedicated role in this noble and socially impactful work. From responding to eye donation calls to creating awareness and organizing donation camps, his contributions are vital. He also provides counselling, performs cornea-retinal procedures, and conducts specular microscopy. Preserving donated corneas and ensuring successful transplants are central to his responsibilities. His efforts significantly support the mission of restoring vision through eye donation.
