Mahatme Memorial Eye Welfare Charitable Trust was born, dedicated to a noble cause: restoring the gift of sight to those in need. Registered under the Public Trust Act of 1950, our commitment to this mission has never wavered.
At the heart of our trust is the visionary Dr. Vikas Mahatme, a renowned ophthalmologist with an unwavering passion for charitable work and a deep sense of responsibility towards the unmet eye care needs in our region.
Mahatme Eye Bank & Eye Hospital, under the guidance of Dr. Vikas Mahatme, has flourished into a recognized postgraduate teaching institute. As of 2017, we proudly performed over 180,000 eye operations, with more than 80,000 surgeries provided free of charge.
