Mahatme Eye Bank Eye Hospital, run by the S.M.M. Eye Welfare Charitable Trust in Nagpur, is a leading center for eye care and ophthalmic training. Established in 1986, it offers advanced treatments like cataract surgery, LASIK, glaucoma care, and corneal transplants. Around 60% of patients receive free treatment. It’s a recognized teaching institute with DNB, DOMS, and fellowship programs. Over 1,500 ophthalmologists have been trained here. The trust has conducted 2.2 lakh+ surgeries, with 1.2 lakh done free. .
